Eden Spring Prescott-Smith
Client Care Associate
Eden Prescott planned to sign on as a delivery volunteer when she visited the YMOW website in early 2026 and learned of the need for a Client Care Associate on the YMOW team.
“I love the idea of being able to connect with vulnerable community members,” said Eden, an active community volunteer, artist, and former caregiver.
A native of Rose Township, Eden returned to Michigan in the early 2000s to care for her grandmother.
“Caring for our communities, particularly for older adults, is something I’ve always felt called to.” Eden said. “I’ve always enjoyed the company of and connecting with our elders.”
The best part of her new job, Eden said, is hearing clients’ stories about lived experiences, “giving them a fresh listening ear, and a new, friendly face to engage with.”
Eden lives in Ypsilanti with her two daughters and enjoys working as a volunteer with several local organizations, including community gardens. She is also working with others to establish a community action network that will empower the Ypsilanti community through collaborative initiatives that promote health, wellness, the arts, and innovation.
