Who does Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels serve?
Clients are primarily older adults or individuals with disabilities who are homebound and cannot prepare complete, nutritious meals for themselves.

All of our meals are low in fat and sodium and are appropriate for people with diabetes.
Each main meal contains an entrée and two vegetables. Each brown bag meal includes a fruit or vegetable, milk or juice, and bread.

Will the same person deliver my meals every day?
What time will my meals arrive each day?
Delivery time is typically between 11 AM – 2 PM. If circumstances arise that will affect delivery, we will attempt to notify clients as soon as possible.
What if I’m not home when meals arrive?
We ask that you call YMOW to tell us of your absence at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled delivery, or by noon Friday to cancel meals for Monday.
To cancel a meal, please call our office at 734-487-9669.
YMOW reserves the right to discontinue service to clients who repeatedly fail to follow cancellation procedures. We understand that emergencies arise. To cancel a meal in case of an emergency situation, please call the YMOW office as soon as possible. If our office is closed, please leave a message on our voicemail.
