Sean Reilly was looking for a fulfilling part-time job while completing his work toward a degree in social work. He found it at Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels.
“It was an absolute no-brainer for me and I knew I had to apply,” said Sean, who joined the YMOW team in May 2024.
Shortly after delivering his first meals, Sean said the job was already more than he expected. Taking time to chat with the seniors on his route is fulfilling, Sean said, and has strengthened his commitment to a career that helps his community.
A resident of nearby Pittsfield Township, Sean was elected to the Pittsfield Park Commission in 2020, where he focuses his efforts on accessibility and DEI. He will seek re-election in November 2024.
