Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels (YMOW) is serving up its annual Pi(e) and a Pint event with a side of adventure this year. Join the YMOW team at The Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti on Pi Day, March 14, where you can enjoy a slice of pie (or another tasty treat) and a pint of locally crafted beer for just $14 - the cost of two days' worth of healthy meals for a homebound senior.
The event takes place from noon to 9 p.m. and offers delicious treats that range from sweet to savory, donated by local bake houses including Zingerman's, the Ypsi Co-op, and Go! Ice Cream.
At 6 p.m. the adventure begins with a D&D game, featuring well-known Ypsi gamers like Angel Vanas of Star Studio, and Micheal Patino of the Tipsi Ypsi Paint Party Studio. The Quest is tied to YMOW's mission - getting essential supplies to those in need. Event attendees can play along with YMOW's band of heroes by donating to get them level-ups and supplies. Guests can vote in "choose your own adventure" polls to determine the next action the players take.
The game will be live-streamed via YouTube and the event website, so you can participate from the comfort of home, and help us reach our goal of raising $5,000 to support the growing need in Ypsilanti.
