Development Manager, full time

Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels (YMOW) promotes the general welfare and enhances the quality of life of older adults in our community by identifying, developing and providing culturally sensitive nutrition services and related in-home support.

We are seeking a passionate and driven professional with a strong desire to help us meet a growing demand for services and support for seniors. This position, under the guidance of the Executive Director, will be responsible for developing and implementing a plan to increase donor cultivation, giving and special event fundraisers.

The ideal candidate will have experience with annual giving, event management, corporate sponsorships, major gifts and database management and analysis. We are looking for an optimistic fundraiser with broad general experience who is a life-long learner.

Social Worker, part time

Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels is seeking an experienced Social Worker to improve the in-home safety of older adults and medically fragile adults who reside within the YMOW service area, helping them to continue living safely and comfortably at home.

This person will help our clients by identifying and meeting individual client needs and by coordinating available services and resources.

Social Work degree from an accredited program and valid Michigan LBSW license required, as well as extensive knowledge of the continuum of care for older adults. Masters in Social work and valid Michigan LLMSW license preferred. Must have minimum 2 years social work experience in a healthcare or community setting and 3 years case management and benefits counseling experience.

Client Care Associate

As Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels continues to grow, we are often in search of caring, reliable people to work the front lines in our fight against hunger and loneliness among our local homebound neighbors.

This hourly, part-time position has numerous responsibilities, including driving, meal delivery, client interaction, and resource advocacy. In short, the CCA helps to ensure that YMOW clients are able to age in place with dignity.

A safe driving record and a background check are required.
