Save a bag, feed a neighbor

October 17, 2018 by YMOW

Every time you shop for food this fall, you also can help provide hot and healthy meals for hungry seniors in Washtenaw County.

From Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, customers at the Ann Arbor and Cranbrook Whole Foods stores can choose to donate 10 cents to Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels for every reusable bag they use while shopping.

Known as One Dime at a Time, this program rewards customers who bring in their own reusable bags. At checkout, they can choose to keep the money or donate it to a partner charity. From Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, that partner organization is Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels.
