YMOW clients love receiving handmade cards on Valentine’s Day. And while YMOW’s annual card-making event is still on hold due to COVID-19, we’ve come up with a few ways for you to help fill the holiday with love again this year.
- Gather your friends, your kids, and all things crafty to create homemade cards at home! From simple to extravagant, your homebound neighbors will love and appreciate whatever you create.
- Purchase kits to create handmade valentines. Designed by longtime friend of YMOW and crafter extraordinaire Cathie McClure, the kits are being sold for $10 at Unicorn Feed and Supply, 114 W. Michigan Ave. The entire purchase price will be donated back to YMOW to support local homebound seniors.
- Short on crafting supplies? Stop by our offices at 1110 W. Cross Street and pick up a pre-packaged collection of paper and other items to create your own cards at home. Email madison@ymow.org to schedule your pickup.
All cards must be returned to our offices at 1110 W. Cross Street by Friday, Feb. 11, in order to be delivered with meals on Monday, Feb. 14.
Thank you in advance for making this Valentine’s Day extra special for our clients!
