In his first 11 months as a YMOW volunteer, Mark Hoffmann spent more than 130 hours preparing meals, delivering food and performing countless other tasks for the staff and clients of YMOW.
“He jumps into anything that we are in need of, even if it is something new that he's never done before,” said Volunteer Manager Jessica Cichowlas upon announcing Mark as YMOW’s first Volunteer of the Quarter of 2022. He has mopped floors, surveyed clients and even mowed lawns, helping a handful of clients avoid fines from the city. And during meal delivery, Mark willingly helps with simple tasks like taking out the trash or bringing in the mail.
“Most importantly, whenever we are short on staff or volunteers, he swoops in and saves the day!” Jessica said.
